Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program

The fundamental objective of Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program is to broaden the range of scholarly perspectives in the U.S. academy, with a specific focus on the humanities and the humanistic social sciences, and encourage and prepare fellows for Ph.D. programs. MMUF believes these disciplines are where we express our complex humanity, and that we all deserve the beauty and empowerment which can be found in these spaces. Through their grants, MMUF aims to build just communities enriched by meaning and guided by critical thinking, where ideas and imagination can thrive.
