Vocalist: Emma Daves

Emma Daves is an operatic soprano from Apex, North Carolina. She received her Master of Music degree in Literature and Performance at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. She also holds dual degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from East Carolina University, where she graduated with honors. She is graduating with a Graduate Certificate from the University of New Mexico, where she studied with James Flora and was the Teacher Assistant for the Music Appreciation course. Emma also enjoys private teaching and specializes in elementary music education, serving as a Pre-K music class instructor as well as a piano, voice, and ukulele instructor. She is excited to take on the role of Mimì in La bohème this upcoming season. Favorite past roles for her include Lady Billows (Albert Herring), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Beth (Little Women) and the Sandman and Dewfairy (Hansel and Gretel).
