2021-2022 History Department Commencement Information Commencement will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022. This program will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M. This ceremony is for Summer, 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 graduates. Location: KIVA 104. (This is the round classroom on UNM campus by the Education Annex.) During the ceremony we will present certificates to graduating History majors and to the recipients of Masters and Doctoral degrees. The History Department will host a reception for graduates and their guests in its Common Room, Mesa Vista 1104, immediately after the program. Please check in with our receptionist at the entrance to the Kiva Classroom at least fifteen minutes before our ceremony begins so we can guarantee the receipt of your certificate. You are not required to wear a cap and gown for this ceremony but you may if you wish. You may sit with your family and friends and we will call you up. The Commencement speaker is TBA. Please double check with your advisor that you are on the graduation list. You must be on the list to participate in our ceremony. Reservations are required. Please call the History Department at 277-2451 to make reservations for you and your guests.
