Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. This program will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M.
This ceremony is for Summer, 2023, Fall 2023, and Spring 2024 graduates.
Location: KIVA 104. (This is the round classroom on the UNM campus by the Education Annex.) During the ceremony, we will present certificates to graduating History majors and to the recipients of Masters and Doctoral degrees.
The History Department will host a reception for graduates and their guests in its Common Room, Mesa Vista 1104, immediately after the program.
Please check in with our receptionist at the entrance to the Kiva Classroom at least fifteen minutes before our ceremony begins so we can guarantee the receipt of your certificate.
You are not required to wear a cap and gown for this ceremony but you may if you wish. You may sit with your family and friends and we will call you up.
The Commencement speaker is G. Andrés Romero, Social Studies Teacher, Artisco Heritage Academy and a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 10th district.
Please double-check with your advisor that you are on the graduation list. You must be on the list to participate in our ceremony.
