To prepare for graduation, students should contact their academic advisor for assistance with graduation eligibility and departmental honors eligibility.
The students who are eligible to participate in the Undergraduate Commencement ceremony are those who complete their degree requirements by the end of the current semester. Other eligible students are undergraduates who lack no more than six credit hours to be completed next semester. However, the names of these students will not be published in the program.
Students eligible to participate in convocation are those who complete their degree requirements by the end of the current semester. Exceptions to this policy are determined by each school, college, and/or department.
See the Honors Eligibility page for information about departmental honors, university honors and baccalaureate honors.
Convocation ceremonies are celebrations hosted by individual schools, colleges, and/or departments just for their graduates. Each of these ceremonies may be different in form and structure and may range from a formal graduation ceremony to a casual reception. Specific questions about your convocation should be directed to your convocation coordinator. See the Schedule of Events for ceremony dates and times.
