Commencement Ceremony


Directions to Tingley Coliseum


Take I-40 East in Albuquerque to the Louisiana Blvd exit (162), heading south. Enter through Gate 8 on Louisiana just south of Lomas. Guests will proceed to Tingley Coliseum. Graduates will line up at the Creative Arts Building.

 

 

Special Needs Parking requires a parking pass.  Graduates will receive this in the mail if they signed up to participate and requested assistance.  State issued permits will also allow parking in either the Special Needs Parking lot or at designated handicap parking.  This lot is located on the south side of the Creative Arts Building.  To access this lot, enter Gate 3 from San Pedro and show your pass to the Expo New Mexico staff at the checkpoint.  This street is Racetrack Avenue.  Continue east and turn left (north) on Main Street.  Drive to just past the Ford Pavilion on the east side of the street and take an immediate right (east) into the parking lot.  Park as close to the Creative Arts Building as possible. 

 

VIP Parking requires a parking pass.  If you are a platform participant you will be sent a parking pass that will have instructions and a map to show you where to park. 

 

Guest Parking does not require a parking pass.  You will enter through Gate 8 on Louisiana Boulevard from the corner of Louisiana and Lomas.  Stay in the right-hand lane to enter the infield parking.  Fee:  TBA

 

Convocation Ceremonies

  • For convocation ceremonies held on campus, parking permits are required in all lettered zones Monday through Friday, but is open to all on the weekends.

  • For convocations on Saturday, courtesy parking will be available in the Cornell Structure on Redondo and Stanford. This courtesy parking is offered to graduates, their guests, and for special needs parking on a first come, first serve basis.

    If your convocation ceremony is on a weekday, please contact your convocation coordinator directly for specific parking information.
  • For special needs parking, please follow State regulations if you have a state-issued handicap parking placard. A campus parking map can be found at http://pats.unm.edu/ for specific handicap parking locations. For other special needs parking information for convocations, please call Monica Apodaca at 277-9557 at Parking & Transportation Services or call your individual convocation coordinator.
